Ameesha

Ameesha is an adorable six -year old. She was brought to Samudra Sri Leadership Academy, CEI’s home for children in need with her older sister Aneesha. Ameesha lost her father in the devastating Tsunami in 2004 when she was barely over a month old. Her mother who was affected by polio works as a baby-sitter and earns less than US $2 per day; due to her job she had to leave Ameesha in the care of her grandmother. With all the challenges in life, increasing financial instability and limited physical ability Ameesha was brought to Samudra Sri Leadership Academy, CEI's home for children in need. Ameesha is a favorite of her caregivers and the visitors to Samudra Sri; she has a delightful personality and enchants everyone with her smile. She shows a keen interest in attending preschool and enjoys singing and coloring. Becoming a part of CEI's home has brought hope into this little girl's life.
