Thilina Madushanka

Thilina is eleven years old and was brought to Kalapuwa Sri Leadership Academy, CEI’s home for children in need, by his mother who is a domestic help and earns less than US $3 a day. Thilina’s father abandoned the family two years ago and his mother’s every effort to earn enough to meet the needs of Thilina failed. Thilina is reserved and quiet; he is a hard working student at school. His desire is to become a civil engineer when he grows up.
