HomeCEI School in Uganda
Child Empowerment International is expanding our operations into Uganda, providing education and holistic care for children in need. Uganda's tragic history of military repression, guerilla warfare and human rights abuses over the last 30 years have left half a million dead and uprooted 1.6 million refugees.
Our mission has always been to establish a presence in areas of civil unrest, and empower marginalized children to break cycles of poverty. Child Empowerment International was invited to bring this mission to Africa by a Ugandan member of parliament, the honorable John Nasumbu. Over the next year we will start construction on new school buildings, hire and train teachers, and begin classes.
